Hello Cardinals Fans,
It is time again for the regular season to kick off and I hope you are all as excited as we are. While the pre-season didn't go as well as we may have liked, it IS just the pre-season. It is for evaluating players. Winning, while nice, isn't the main goal. So stay strong, and have faith that the coaches know what they are doing. After last years post-season performance I think they have earned a little trust.
Now, the reason for this email is that we need to touch base with all of you about tailgating. As some of you know there have been some new rules sent down that affects all tailgaters. The biggest rule is that all tailgate parties have to be torn down and packed up before kickoff. This, of course, means that there will be no tailgating while the game is in progress. The team has made it clear that there will be no exceptions given, even to our fan club.
While this is very frustrating, we are all trying to make the best of a bad situation and come up with some different options. After all, we are Cardinals fans and we are used to frustration and adversity, right? So, this is what we are going to do until better plans can be arranged.
Myself (James) and Dave will set up on the lawn with our tailgate and we are inviting all members to bring their tailgate parties over to where we are and join us. Even if you don't normally tailgate and want to come by we will save a seat for you. Unfortunately, we will not be able to secure the area for our members as originally planned so the earlier you come, the better. If you need help finding us on the lawn please feel free to give us a call on our cell phone. (Dave's is 602-388-9352 and James' is 480-227-5184)
We know this isn't the arrangement that we all wanted and planned for and we appreciate your understanding. Unfortunately, the new rules took us by surprise just like it did many of you and for the time being we are going to have to play it by ear.
And, as always, if you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to call or email.
Sincerely,
